Most villa projects are sold by one company and operated by another. Eko Estates is sold by the business that will be filling, staffing and maintaining the house for the next four years.
The four partners, and what each one decides.
The company was founded in 2018 and has been run by the same four people since. Nobody was brought in to sell this portfolio.
Husain Khatumdi
MANAGING DIRECTOR & CO-FOUNDER
A graduate of Cass Business School in London, with an entrepreneurship diploma from Queensland University of Technology, Husain moves between design, number-crunching and strategy without much friction between them. Most of his work is deciding which measures actually matter in each part of the business and then building something that holds them. On the Estates side that means settling what a house is expected to do before anyone signs for it.
Varun Arora
CHIEF EXECUTIVE OFFICER & CO-FOUNDER
Varun has spent over eight years turning residential property into houses that guests book and come back to, and he runs the operating company that does it: 175+ villas across 18+ destinations, held on fixed leases or on a share of revenue depending on what suits the owner. The argument the Assured Agreement rests on is his, and it is a simple one. A house performs because of how it is run, not because of how it was sold.
Sohail Mirchandani
CHIEF OPERATING OFFICER & CO-FOUNDER
An accounting and finance graduate of HR College, Mumbai, with a diploma in business administration, Sohail runs operations and the back end nobody sees: budgeting, analysis, staffing, and the checklist a caretaker works to. He is the reason a house is prepared the same way in Igatpuri as it is anywhere else in the portfolio, which is most of what separates a villa at forty per cent occupancy from one at sixty-five.
Zeeshan Khan
CHIEF ACQUISITION OFFICER & CO-FOUNDER
A pharmacy graduate who went into property instead, Zeeshan scouts and acquires. He spends his time in regions before they are obvious, judging what a plot or a tired building can be made into, and he has a record of taking on houses other operators walked past. The land at Kawnai and Vihigaon was found the same way.

These are the people who run the 175+ houses already in the portfolio, day to day: the bookings, the pricing, the upkeep, and the standard a guest walks into.

SALES HEAD
Leads the sales team across India, market by market, and is usually the first person a buyer speaks to.
02Amreen Starwala
HR MANAGER
Joined two years ago and now runs the whole employee cycle: hiring, onboarding, payroll and the day-to-day of the office.
03Amaan Shaikh
FULL STACK DEVELOPER
Builds the web applications and the integrations behind them, including Zoho. Over two years as a full stack developer.
04Manasi Ingale
SALES REGIONAL MANAGER
Over five years here, from sales executive to regional manager. It is her first workplace and her longest.

SALES REGIONAL MANAGER
Five years from sales executive to regional manager, working across account management, partner relations and guest experience.
06Rutuja Chavan
SOCIAL MEDIA STRATEGIST
Runs the social accounts and the paid campaigns on Meta and Google, from content planning through to lead generation.

F&B HEAD
Oversees food and beverage across the portfolio, from partner relationships to what a guest is actually served.
